Patience:The lost gem in today's impatient world

In today’s fast-paced world, we are so busy in running the rat race that whenever the outcome is not what we expected, we are afflicted by the 3D syndrome (Disappointment, Dejection and Depression). This is because right from the young age we conditioned to chase the destination but are never taught to appreciate the journey. We are so scared of being left behind in the race that we never give a thought whether we are approaching the right destination and most of the times we are not and as a result fall in the 3D trap. 

Couple of day's back I received a whatsap message which succinctly captured the above situation.

“You are unique, don't compare yourself to others.

Someone graduated at the age of 22, yet waited 5 years before securing a good job; and there is another who graduated at 27 and secured employment immediately!

Someone became CEO at 25 and died at 50 while another became a CEO at 50 and lived to 90 years.

Everyone works based on their 'Time Zone'. People can have things worked out only according to their pace.

Work in your “time zone”. Your Colleagues, friends, younger ones might "seem" to go ahead of you. May be some might "seem" behind you. Everyone is in this world running their own race on their own lane in their own time. God has a different plan for everybody. Time is the difference.

Obama retires at 55, Trump resumes at 70. Don't envy them or mock them, it's their 'Time Zone.' You are in yours!”

Life gives everybody ample opportunities, its up to us to recognize them & to prepare & equip ourselves to make full use of those opportunities

Just a thought as I end this article think what would have happened If Rahul Dravid had tried becoming Sachin Tendulkar or Virender Sehwag?

Time to Pause, Review

Your Time Shall Come..

Kenya is two hours ahead of Nigeria, but it does not mean that Nigeria is slow, and it does not mean that Kenya is faster than Nigeria. Both countries are working based on their own "Time Zone."

Someone got married as a virgin and 'waited' ten years before having a child, yet there is another who had had series of abortions before marriage, yet had a baby within one year after marriage.

Someone graduated at the age of 22, yet waited 5 years before securing a job; and there is another who graduated at the age of 27 and secured employment just after national service.

Someone became CEO at the age of 25 and died at the age of 50 while another became a CEO at the age of 50 and lived to 90 years.

Some people have everything that work fast for them. Work in your “time zone”.

Colleagues, friends, associates, younger one(s) might "seem" to go ahead of you. Don't envy them, it's their 'Time Zone.'. Yours is coming soon. Hold on, be strong, and stay true to yourself. All things shall work together for your good. You’re not late… you’re on time!

A Short Story

Solomon the powerful and wealthy king chooses to test his most loyal and trusted minister, Benaiah Ben Yehoyada, by asking of him an impossible task.

The king asks Benaiah to find for him a ring, knowing full well that the ring does not exist, which has magic powers. “If a happy man looks at it, he becomes sad, and if a sad man looks at it, he becomes happy,” he tells him. He expresses his desire to wear the ring for Sukkot, which is six months away.

After months of searching, Benaiah finds himself, the night before Sukkot, walking through the poorest neighborhood of Jerusalem. He happens upon a jeweler, who, when asked if he’s heard of such a ring, produces from his pocket a plain gold ring, to which he adds an engravement. Benaiah returns just in time on the eve of Sukkot to give the king the ring he has requested. When the king looks at the engraving, he reads four words:  “This too shall pass” . At that moment, Solomon realizes that his wisdom, tremendous wealth, and power are fleeting things, for one day he will be nothing but dust.”
